Hadjam on Beşiktaş Radar, French Press Criticizes Petković

Algerian international Jaouen Hadjam is reportedly attracting interest from Turkish giants Beşiktaş, according to sources familiar with the matter. While the young player has been on the radar of several European clubs in Italy, Germany, and France, a move to the Turkish Süper Lig could materialize as early as the January transfer window.

Reports from Turkey suggest that Beşiktaş were close to securing Hadjam’s signature last September, but the deal fell through due to minor details. However, the club seems determined to revive their pursuit. Sercan Reçber, the general coordinator of Beşiktaş, reportedly met with Hadjam recently, indicating a strong desire from the Turkish side to finalize the transfer.

Reçber was also reportedly present at the Lille vs. Young Boys match in the Europa League, where he observed Hadjam’s performance. Following the game, he allegedly met with the player and his representatives. While the specific details of the negotiations remain undisclosed, sources suggest that a preliminary agreement may be in place.

Record Kartal, a news outlet close to Beşiktaş, reported that Reçber returned to Istanbul and briefed the coach and management on the situation. The Algerian international is believed to be receptive to the salary offered by Beşiktaş, which is rumored to be substantial.

Meanwhile, the French press has been critical of some of the tactical choices made by Algeria’s coach Vladimir Petković. The Algerian team is preparing for upcoming matches, and the pressure is on to deliver positive results. Veteran player Riyad Mahrez has called for fans to ease the pressure on the players.
