Algiers – The Directorate General of Public Service has granted the Ministry of Health exceptional authorization to extend the deadline for amending the annual human resource management plans for 2025. This decision aims to streamline the ministry’s central services, paramedical training institutes, and affiliated public institutions’ efforts in effectively managing human resources.
The Ministry of Health’s request highlighted the receipt of a revised financial positions list from the Ministry of Finance. These revisions address outstanding employee situations resulting from the implementation of new fundamental laws. Furthermore, the adjustments facilitate the creation of new job positions to bolster institutions that have become operational during the current fiscal year.
According to Circular No. 01, issued on January 13, 2025, the standard deadline for modifying annual human resource management plans typically falls before the end of the third quarter. However, considering the justifications presented by the Ministry of Health, the Directorate General has granted exceptional approval for the extension.
This extension empowers the Ministry to implement necessary adjustments smoothly and efficiently. The decision underscores ongoing efforts to enhance the accuracy of employee counts and optimize human resource management across public institutions. This aims to ensure optimal performance, improve resource management within the health sector, and guarantee that institutional needs are met throughout the year.
The move is expected to positively impact the Algerian healthcare system by ensuring adequate staffing levels and efficient allocation of resources.
