The Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, has lauded the crucial role of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), describing it as a vital partner in fostering constructive dialogue and responsible consultation between public authorities and economic stakeholders.
Speaking at the opening of the CREA’s General Assembly on Wednesday at the Palais des Congrès, Minister Saihi stated that the Council has become a fundamental player in the ongoing economic reforms within the country.
“This occasion holds particular significance as it aligns with a national context characterized by a strong determination to bolster economic growth, diversify income streams, and construct a modern, competitive, and sustainable national economy founded on initiative, productive investment, wealth creation, and job creation,” Saihi emphasized.
The Minister further highlighted the pivotal role of the CREA in representing economic operators, conveying their concerns, and contributing practical proposals. He noted that this role is intended to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors, ultimately serving the interests of the national economy and accelerating technology transfer and localization within the national economic fabric.
In this context, the Minister affirmed that his department is continuing its efforts to modernize the labor market, improve mediation and employment mechanisms through digital solutions, support public and private institutions in managing their resources, promote professional integration, enhance training and qualification of the workforce, and promote social dialogue as a pillar of social peace in the country. The government views the CREA as a key partner in achieving these goals.
