Cocaine Trafficking Ring Dismantled in Oran

Oran, Algeria – Authorities in Oran have successfully dismantled a criminal network involved in the trafficking of cocaine. The operation, conducted by officers of the 01 Urban Security Division of the Oran State Police, resulted in the arrest of multiple individuals and the seizure of a significant quantity of narcotics and assets.

According to a statement released by the Oran police, the operation was initiated following intelligence indicating suspicious activity. The suspects were allegedly using their residences as bases for storing, packaging, and transporting narcotics for distribution throughout urban areas.

Detectives launched a comprehensive investigation, meticulously monitoring the movements and identifying the individuals involved in the criminal enterprise. Their efforts culminated in the apprehension of five individuals allegedly connected to the trafficking ring.

The operation yielded substantial seizures, including 1.364 kilograms of cocaine and 1565 ecstasy pills. Authorities also confiscated 98.5 million centimes, believed to be proceeds from the illicit drug trade. Furthermore, four vehicles used to facilitate the network’s criminal activities were impounded.

Following the investigation, legal proceedings were initiated against those implicated in the case. The suspects were presented before the judiciary, and pre-trial detention orders were issued.
