Fire Engulfs Clothing Warehouse in Algiers; No Injuries Reported

Algiers, Algeria – December 18, 2025 – A significant fire broke out early Thursday morning at a clothing supply warehouse in the Rouiba district of Algiers. Civil Defense forces responded swiftly, successfully extinguishing the blaze without any reported casualties.

According to a statement released by the Civil Defense, emergency services were alerted to the fire at approximately 6:42 AM. The warehouse, located in the Houche Mourad area of Reghaia municipality, was reportedly used for storing various sewing and clothing-related materials.

Firefighters were able to contain and completely extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures. Authorities have confirmed that there were no injuries or fatalities as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

To combat the blaze, the Civil Defense deployed a substantial team, including three fire trucks and an ambulance, highlighting the seriousness with which the incident was treated.

The rapid response and effective firefighting efforts prevented what could have been a much more devastating outcome. Further details regarding the extent of the property damage are expected to be released following a thorough assessment of the site.
