Eleven Rescued Amidst Severe Weather Conditions

Various Provinces, December 18, 2025 – Civil Protection services have reported the successful rescue of eleven individuals stranded due to recent adverse weather conditions across several provinces.

In Beni Abbes province, emergency responders successfully rescued six people from Wadi Edoura. The individuals were traveling in a convoy consisting of four trucks, a crane, and a utility vehicle when they became trapped by rising floodwaters. Among those rescued, two individuals were treated for exhaustion and subsequently transported to the local hospital for further medical attention.

Meanwhile, in El Bayadh province, Civil Protection units responded to an incident in the municipality of Benoud. There, they rescued two individuals whose truck had become stranded in Wadi El Batima. The rescued pair were reportedly in a state of shock and were promptly taken to the local hospital for observation and care.

Furthermore, in El Abiodh Sidi Cheikh, emergency teams successfully rescued three individuals whose truck was trapped in Wadi Berrmad. Similar to the El Bayadh incident, the rescued individuals were treated for shock and transported to the local hospital.
