Minor Earthquake Shakes Batna Province, Algeria

Batna, Algeria – A minor earthquake was recorded in the province of Batna earlier today, according to the Research Center in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Geophysics (CRAAG). The tremor occurred at approximately 10:32 AM local time.

Civil Protection services reported that the earthquake registered a magnitude of 2.0 on the Richter scale. While considered a light tremor, such events are closely monitored by seismological agencies.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located approximately 7 kilometers southeast of the municipality of Ain Yagout. No immediate reports of damage or injuries have been received in connection with the seismic activity.
