Joint Security Raids Target Crime Hotspots in Ain Defla

AIN DEFLA, Algeria – Joint security forces have conducted a series of raids targeting suspected criminal hotspots in the Ain Defla province. The operation, a coordinated effort between the Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie and local police, focused on the municipalities of Djendel and Khemis Miliana.

The raids specifically targeted locations allegedly used by drug dealers, purveyors of psychotropic substances, and neighborhood gangs operating near universities and educational institutions. Authorities also aimed to apprehend individuals wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.

DZWatch has learned that significant resources, both personnel and equipment, were deployed for the operation. Units from the National Gendarmerie, including the Regional Road Security Unit, the Research Brigade, security and investigation teams, and specialized canine units, participated in the coordinated effort.

In addition to targeting drug-related crime, the operation addressed traffic violations, particularly those related to illegal transportation practices. Authorities conducted inspections of public transport vehicles and motorcycles to ensure compliance with road safety regulations.

According to a statement released by security officials, these raids will continue across the province in an effort to eradicate crime, enhance public and road safety, and ensure a secure and stable environment for citizens.
