Arab Nations Grapple with Unsettled Weather Conditions

Several Arab countries are experiencing a period of fluctuating weather conditions, ranging from heavy rainfall and snowfall to dust storms. This follows a period of severe weather events that recently impacted Morocco and the Gaza Strip, causing damage and casualties.

According to official data from meteorological centers in multiple Arab nations, these unstable weather patterns are expected to persist in various regions over the coming hours.

Gulf Region Faces Dust and Strong Winds

In the Arabian Gulf, dust and strong winds are dominating the weather landscape. The National Center of Meteorology in Saudi Arabia has issued yellow and orange alerts, warning of high winds and dust that could significantly reduce visibility in the regions of Mecca, Medina, and the Eastern Province.

In the United Arab Emirates, the National Center of Meteorology anticipates the formation of cumulonimbus clouds with the possibility of rain in limited areas. This has already impacted air traffic, with Emirates Airlines announcing the rescheduling of some flights due to prevailing weather conditions.

These warnings coincide with similar announcements in Qatar, where the meteorological department has cautioned about a dust mass originating from the northeast of the Arabian Peninsula, following heavy rains that occurred on Thursday evening.

In Kuwait and Bahrain, weather reports indicate cold weather with the potential for dust formation and strong winds. Oman has recorded scattered rainfall in several parts of the country.

Levant and Iraq Experience Fog and Temperature Drops

In the Levant and Iraq, fog and a noticeable drop in temperatures characterize the weather. The General Directorate of Meteorology in Syria has warned of widespread fog formation over mountainous areas, advising citizens to avoid nighttime travel.

In Palestine, the meteorological department reports that the weather will remain cloudy and cold, particularly in mountainous regions. The Iraqi Meteorological Authority anticipates clear weather on Saturday and Sunday, with light showers expected to begin on Monday.

North Africa and Egypt Brace for More Instability

Further updates on weather conditions in North Africa and Egypt will be provided as they become available. These regions are also expected to experience continued fluctuations.
