Algiers, December 20, 2025 – The Commission for the Organization and Supervision of Stock Exchange Operations (COSOB) today launched seven electronic platforms dedicated to executing buy and sell orders for stocks and bonds on the Algiers Stock Exchange. This initiative aligns with the national financial market’s ongoing digital transformation.
The seven platforms are now operational at key financial institutions, including the National Bank of Algeria (BNA), the People’s Credit of Algeria (CPA), the Algerian Foreign Bank (BEA), the Local Development Bank (BDL), the National Savings and Insurance Fund (CNEP-Bank), Al Salam Bank, and Baraka Bank. Authorities expect the platforms to significantly enhance transparency and accelerate transaction execution on the exchange.
Youssef Bouzenada, Chairman of COSOB, stated that the launch of these platforms is “the result of the high level of professional efforts made by intermediaries in stock exchange operations and supervision, particularly following the issuance of the regulatory framework governing the operation of these platforms last year.” He emphasized the importance of this technological advancement for the growth and modernization of the Algerian financial market.
The launch coincides with the third annual conference of the Algerian financial market, held at the Abdellatif Rahal International Conference Center. The conference’s theme is “Innovative Finance – Digital Transformation – Financial Sustainability – Financial Inclusion,” highlighting the key priorities for the development of Algeria’s financial sector. The integration of these new electronic platforms is expected to play a crucial role in achieving these goals.
The Algiers Stock Exchange hopes that these digital platforms will attract more investors and contribute to a more dynamic and efficient market, strengthening Algeria’s position as a key player in the regional financial landscape.
