Ghardaia: Two Fatalities Reported Due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Tragedy struck in Ghardaia on Saturday as two individuals succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning. The incident occurred in the El Hadj Messaoud area of Ghardaia municipality, reportedly caused by a faulty water heater.

Civil Protection services responded to an emergency call at 7:56 AM, arriving at the scene to find two individuals suffering from the effects of carbon monoxide inhalation. The source of the gas was identified as a water heater within the residence, located in the municipality and district of Ghardaia.

The victims, identified as two women aged 58 and 92, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies have been transferred to the morgue at the local hospital.
