Cairo – The African-Russian partnership has matured significantly and is poised to become a cornerstone in the construction of a more just and equitable international system. This assessment was delivered today by Minister Ahmed Attaf, the State Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, and Minister for African Affairs.
Speaking earlier today, Minister Attaf highlighted the evolving nature of the relationship between African nations and Russia, emphasizing its potential to reshape global dynamics. He noted that years of collaboration and shared objectives have fostered a robust framework capable of challenging existing power structures and advocating for a multipolar world.
“The partnership between Africa and Russia is no longer merely a transactional arrangement,” Minister Attaf stated. “It represents a strategic alliance built on mutual respect, shared interests, and a common desire to address historical imbalances within the international arena.”
The Minister further elaborated on the specific areas where the African-Russian partnership is demonstrating tangible results. These include economic cooperation, particularly in the fields of energy, infrastructure development, and technology transfer. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing security challenges, such as combating terrorism and transnational crime, while respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations.
Minister Attaf concluded by expressing optimism about the future of the African-Russian partnership, stressing its potential to contribute significantly to a more balanced and inclusive global order.
