Algerian Culture Minister Soraya Mouloudji Conveys Condolences Over Abdelmalek Mortad’s Demise

In a solemn announcement today, Soraya Mouloudji, the Algerian Minister of Culture and Arts, expressed her deep condolences to the family of the esteemed thinker and researcher, Abdelmalek Mortad, who passed away this Friday morning.

On this painful occasion and this great loss, which is irrevocable by the decree of God, the Minister extends her deepest condolences to the literary community worldwide, to the bereaved family, and to his relatives, praying to God Almighty to bestow upon the deceased His generous forgiveness and mercy, to envelop him in His grace and pleasure, and to admit him into His vast paradise among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, which is the best of company. Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return.”
