Algiers – Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib emphasized the pivotal role of national industry in building a strong and diversified economy during a visit to the 33rd Algerian Production Fair. The event, held at the Palais des Expositions, Pins Maritimes, carries the theme ‘Algeria Makes Its Future’.
The fair, running from December 18th to 27th, is held under the high patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. It highlights the nation’s commitment to supporting local production, stimulating investment, and enhancing the presence of Algerian industry in both domestic and international markets.
Over 600 companies are participating, representing diverse sectors including military industries, chemicals and petrochemicals, electrical and electronics, and mechanics, as well as the service sector. The fair also features a significant presence from startups, artisans, and traditional industries, reflecting the diversity and innovative capacity of the national economy.
During his tour of the various pavilions, Prime Minister Ghrib underscored that promoting local industry and encouraging national production are central to the President’s program. This program prioritizes productive investment, support for national enterprises, and achieving self-sufficiency, alongside enhancing the competitiveness of the Algerian economy.
The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting economic operators, improving the business climate, and providing favorable conditions for production and innovation. These efforts, he stated, will contribute to wealth creation, the generation of new jobs, and the advancement of sustainable development, ultimately building a strong and diversified national economy. The fair serves as a showcase for Algerian ingenuity and economic ambition.
