Blida, Algeria – Residents in several municipalities within the Blida province can anticipate fluctuations in their potable water supply starting today, Sunday, and continuing through Tuesday. The Algerian Water Company (ADE) announced the expected disruption, citing necessary repair work on a crucial water supply line.
According to a statement released by ADE, the fluctuations are a direct result of scheduled repairs to a fault affecting the main pipeline connecting the coastal water reservoir to the ONID pumping station in Bouinan. The contractor responsible for the repairs will be undertaking the work.
The municipalities expected to be most affected by the repair work include Boufarik, Bouinan, Soumaa, and Kherrouba. Residents in these areas may experience reduced water pressure or temporary water outages during the period of the repairs. The Algerian Water Company has assured residents that it is committed to minimizing the disruption and restoring normal water distribution as quickly as possible following the completion of the necessary work.
DZWatch will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and conserve water during this period.
