Algiers – The Ministry of Foreign Trade has issued an important notice regarding new procedures for import operations, specifically concerning the use of the digital platform designed to streamline and monitor the import of raw materials. This announcement targets all economic operators actively engaged in import activities for their own account, whether for operational (Fonctionnement) or equipment (Équipement) purposes. Special attention is directed towards those who established their commercial registers in 1999 or earlier.
The Ministry’s communication outlines specific actions required from economic operators based on their registration date with the National Center of the Commercial Register (SIDJILCOM).
Operators Registered Before 2000: Retrieve Re-registration Date
The Ministry emphasizes that economic operators registered before the year 2000 are required to access their accounts on the SIDJILCOM platform. Their primary task is to retrieve the full date of their re-registration (La date de réimmatriculation). This information is crucial for completing the registration process on the digital platform dedicated to managing and tracking the import of raw materials.
Operators Registered From 2000 Onward: Enter Activity Start Year
For economic operators registered from the year 2000 onwards, the Ministry specifies a different requirement. These operators must enter the year their business activity commenced, as indicated in their current commercial register. This step is also part of the standardized digital procedures implemented for import operations. The ministry urges all concerned parties to adhere to these updated guidelines to ensure smooth and compliant import processes.
