Algiers, December 24, 2025 – Several provinces across Algeria are expected to experience continued rainfall and snowfall through Thursday, according to a special weather advisory issued by the National Meteorological Office.
The advisory, classified as a ‘Yellow’ alert, indicates that rainfall is anticipated today, Wednesday, in the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Medea, Chlef, Mostaganem, Relizane, Mascara, Tiaret, Saida, Ain Temouchent, Sidi Bel Abbes, and Tlemcen.
Tomorrow, Thursday, rainfall is forecast to affect the provinces of Batna, Setif, M’Sila, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Bouira, Medea, Djelfa, Tiaret, Laghouat, and El Bayadh.
Snowfall is also predicted to continue today, Wednesday, in the provinces of Batna, Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, M’Sila, Tizi Ouzou, and Tlemcen. A cold wave will persist in the provinces of Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, M’Sila, Djelfa, Tissemsilt, and El Bayadh.
The meteorological office further forecasts snowfall for Thursday in the provinces of Setif, Bejaia, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Tizi Ouzou, M’Sila, Djelfa, and Bouira. The cold wave is expected to linger in the provinces of Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Djelfa, Tissemsilt, El Bayadh, and Naama.
