Algeria Post Launches Digital Zakat Payment Service

Algiers – Algeria Post has launched a new digital service enabling citizens to pay Zakat al-Mal (obligatory charity) conveniently and securely through its “Baridi Mob” mobile application.

This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts to expand digital services and streamline financial transactions. The new service allows users to easily fulfill their Zakat obligations and donate to those in need by scanning a Quick Response (QR) code specific to each regional account.

This development is the result of close coordination with the National Office of Endowments and Zakat, ensuring that funds are directed to eligible recipients in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks. Algeria Post emphasized that this initiative aims to simplify Zakat payment procedures and promote solidarity, particularly during religious occasions, while maintaining the highest standards of security, speed, and transparency in transaction execution.

To utilize this service, users can download the “Baridi Mob” application from the Google Play Store. They can then access the dedicated service interface and follow simple steps to complete the transaction within seconds, eliminating the need for physical visits or traditional procedures. This digital solution offers a modern and efficient way for Algerians to fulfill their religious obligations.

The launch of this service underscores Algeria Post’s commitment to embracing digital innovation and providing accessible financial solutions to the public. It is expected to significantly increase the ease and convenience of Zakat payment for Algerian citizens.
