Algiers – Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Saïd Chengriha, has extended his deepest condolences to the family of Brigadier General Mohamed Ben Dida, Inspector of the Directorate of External Relations and Cooperation at the Ministry of National Defense, following his passing on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, after an illness.
General Chengriha, also the Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, conveyed his heartfelt sympathy and sincere condolences on behalf of himself and all personnel of the People’s National Army.
In a statement released Thursday, December 25, 2025, General Chengriha expressed his sorrow at the loss of Brigadier General Ben Dida, acknowledging his dedicated service to the nation.
“It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we received the news of the passing of Brigadier General Mohamed Ben Dida,” the statement read. “On behalf of all members of the People’s National Army, I offer my sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy to his family and loved ones.”
General Chengriha prayed to Almighty God to grant the deceased his vast mercy, to dwell him in his spacious paradise with the martyrs and the righteous, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace in this great affliction.
The passing of Brigadier General Ben Dida is a significant loss to the Ministry of National Defense and the People’s National Army. His contributions to the Directorate of External Relations and Cooperation were invaluable, and he will be remembered for his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the security and stability of Algeria.
