The Algiers Metro Company, EMA, has announced a partial suspension of service on a key section of the metro line. The disruption is due to scheduled track maintenance occurring between the stations of Les Fusillés and Hai El Badr.
The maintenance work is scheduled to take place overnight, starting after the close of regular operating hours on Friday. EMA anticipates that the work will continue until approximately 7:00 AM the following morning.
To mitigate the impact on commuters, EMA has arranged for replacement bus services operated by ETUSA to run between Les Fusillés and Hai El Badr. The first replacement bus is scheduled to depart at 5:00 AM. Passengers are advised to retain their metro tickets for use on the replacement bus service.
Metro service will continue uninterrupted on the following sections of the line: Place des Martyrs to Les Fusillés, and Hai El Badr to Ain Naadja, as well as Hai El Badr to Haï El Harrach Centre.
EMA encourages passengers with inquiries to contact the following number: 0770.96.16.72. The company has issued an apology for any inconvenience caused by the maintenance work. EMA emphasizes that the maintenance is essential to ensure the safety and reliability of the metro system for all passengers. The company also appreciates the public’s understanding as they work to improve the metro service.
