Galma, Algeria – Algeria today marked the 47th anniversary of the death of President Houari Boumediene, a figure widely regarded as a symbol of dedication and loyalty to the nation. A commemorative ceremony was held in the province of Galma, led by the Minister of Industry, accompanied by the Minister of Veterans Affairs, Abedelmalek Tachelifet.
The official commemoration took place in the municipality of Djaz Amar, in the presence of the Governor of Galma, Chibani Samir, along with local civil and military authorities, members of the revolutionary family, and representatives of civil society. The atmosphere was filled with respect and appreciation for the legacy of one of the most prominent figures in modern Algerian history.
The anniversary served as an opportunity to remember President Boumediene’s extensive contributions to strengthening national sovereignty and building state institutions after independence. His efforts to establish principles of social justice and economic independence were also highlighted.
Attendees emphasized the importance of preserving national memory and safeguarding the legacy of the liberation revolution. They stressed the need to instill the values and principles of the November 1st Revolution in younger generations, fostering a sense of citizenship and belonging, and ensuring the continuation of the national mission.
