Tel Aviv is reportedly considering military action against Iran if Washington fails to curb Tehran’s missile program, according to Israeli media reports. Concerns are mounting over the perceived threat posed by Iran’s evolving missile capabilities.
An Israeli official, quoted by Yedioth Ahronoth, stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to present intelligence information to U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Iran’s missile developments.
Netanyahu is expected to discuss the potential for renewed Iranian missile capabilities and the possibility of a preemptive strike during his upcoming meeting with Trump in Miami, according to sources cited by Axios.
Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir reportedly conveyed Israel’s apprehension to the U.S. Central Command regarding recent Iranian missile maneuvers, warning that these activities could serve as a smokescreen for a surprise attack.
Israel Hayom reported that Tel Aviv is preparing to present a comprehensive intelligence dossier to Trump during his meeting with Netanyahu in Florida. The aim is to persuade the U.S. President to take concrete action against Iran, including the option of a military strike.
The intelligence file will reportedly focus on the alleged renewal of Iran’s nuclear program, the development of ballistic missiles, the activities of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and the support and funding of terrorism through Iran’s proxies in the region.
These developments come after a period of heightened tensions, including the U.S. military’s operation targeting Iranian nuclear facilities and a series of Israeli strikes against Iranian military installations and officials.
