Israeli Airstrikes Hit Central, Southern Gaza; Three Palestinians Killed

Israeli forces conducted a series of airstrikes across central and southern Gaza, accompanied by artillery shelling and helicopter fire. Concurrently, the Israeli military announced the killing of three Palestinians near the demarcation line.

According to reports, the eastern areas of Gaza City, specifically the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, were targeted in the airstrikes. Explosions were heard and plumes of smoke were seen rising from the Al-Shuja’iya and Al-Tuffah districts. The exact targets of the Israeli bombardment remain unclear.

In the southern Gaza Strip, the Israeli military focused its strikes on areas within the demarcation line, particularly the Bani Suheila region. Reports indicate that the area also witnessed the demolition of Palestinian homes.

Furthermore, artillery shelling was reported east of Rafah, coinciding with gunfire from Israeli helicopters and tanks.

The Israeli military stated that it neutralized an individual who crossed the demarcation line in the northern Gaza Strip. This follows an announcement on Thursday regarding the killing of two Palestinian individuals, described as “armed men,” who allegedly approached the demarcation line in southern Gaza. The military claimed these individuals posed a threat, leading to their targeted killing by air forces under the direction of the infantry brigade.

The Israeli military maintains control over the southern and eastern border strips of Gaza, as well as significant portions of northern Gaza, effectively occupying approximately 60% of the territory.

These actions are a continuation of alleged violations of the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on October 10th. According to the Government Media Office in Gaza, 411 Palestinians have been killed since that date.
