Prime Minister Opens Forum on Legal Security, Economic Development

Algiers, December 27, 2025 – Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib inaugurated the National Forum on “Legal Security and its Impact on Economic Development” today at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center in Algiers. The forum is held under the high patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The forum will address the concept of legal security, examining both its legislative framework and its practical application. Discussions will also focus on mechanisms to strengthen the security of management practices, recognizing the direct impact this has on improving the business climate and accelerating economic development.

The opening ceremony saw the presence of prominent figures, including the President of the Council of the Nation, Azzouz Nasseri, and the President of the Constitutional Court, Leila Aslaoui. The Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Lotfi Boujemâa, was also in attendance, along with other members of the government.

Furthermore, Mohamed Hamouche, Advisor to the President for Legal and Judicial Affairs, and Farid Yaisi, Advisor to the President for Finance, Banks, Budget, Foreign Exchange Reserves, Public Transactions, and International Clearances, participated in the event. Representatives from various advisory institutions and judicial bodies were also present.

The forum aims to produce concrete recommendations that will enhance legal security, thereby fostering a more stable and predictable environment for investment and economic growth across Algeria. The discussions are expected to contribute significantly to ongoing efforts to streamline regulations and improve governance in the country.
