Prime Minister Opens National Forum on Legal Security, Economic Growth

Algiers – Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib inaugurated a national forum today, December 27, 2025, focusing on the crucial role of legal security in stimulating economic development in Algeria. The event, titled “Legal Security and its Impact on Economic Development,” is being held at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center in Algiers, under the high patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The forum aims to highlight the concept of legal security as a fundamental pillar for ensuring the stability of economic transactions. Discussions will encompass the legislative framework, the practical application of legal texts, mechanisms for enhancing the protection of management actions, and improving the quality of administrative decisions.

Participants emphasized that strengthening legal security is a critical factor in improving the business climate and attracting investment. It also supports trust between economic operators and institutions, which positively impacts the pace of growth and sustainable economic development.

The opening ceremony was attended by prominent state figures, including the President of the Council of the Nation, Azzouz Nasseri, the President of the Constitutional Court, Leila Aslaoui, and the Minister of Justice, Lotfi Boujemaa, as well as members of the government, advisors to the President, and representatives from economic institutions and judicial bodies.

The forum is expected to conclude with a series of practical recommendations aimed at strengthening legal security, serving the course of economic reforms, and aligning with the state’s strategic orientations in building a strong and attractive national economy for investment.
