Former U.S. President Donald Trump has called on the Justice Department to “expose” Democrats allegedly involved with the late Jeffrey Epstein by releasing documents related to the convicted sex offender.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Friday, Trump stated, “An additional million pages have been discovered regarding Epstein. The Justice Department must dedicate all its time to this Democrat hoax.” He accused Democrats of collaborating with Epstein, adding, “Let’s release all their names, expose them, and get back to working for our country.”
Trump further claimed that the “Radical Left” is attempting to divert attention from his and the Republican party’s achievements by focusing on Epstein, who died several years ago. He described this as “another witch hunt,” without specifying which Democrats are mentioned in the documents.
The Justice Department began releasing documents and images from the investigation into Epstein last week. Epstein, a wealthy financier, died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges involving underage girls. The latest documents released on Tuesday reportedly contain multiple references to Trump, including details of his trips on Epstein’s private plane. This prompted the Justice Department to issue a statement defending the 79-year-old Republican.
Trump previously denied, in a 2024 social media post, ever flying on Epstein’s plane or visiting his private island. The White House has not yet issued an immediate comment regarding the content of the released documents.
The latest batch of files in the Epstein case includes approximately 30,000 pages of documents, in addition to numerous videos, many of which have been redacted. The files contain names of prominent global figures, including Prince Andrew, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, singer Michael Jackson, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.
Some members of the Democratic Congress recently released a new set of images related to Epstein.
