Boumerdès, Algeria – December 29, 2025 – A fatal traffic accident in Boumerdès province has resulted in one death and injuries to six other individuals. The incident occurred early this morning on the East-West highway, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
According to local Civil Protection authorities, the accident took place at approximately 5:32 AM in the area of El Kadia, within the municipality of Larbatache and the district of Khemis El Khechna. The collision involved a taxi and a semi-trailer truck traveling towards Algiers.
The impact of the collision resulted in the immediate death of a 36-year-old man. His body has been transported to the morgue for further procedures. In addition to the fatality, six other individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries.
