DZWatch Exclusive: The National Social Security Fund for Salaried Workers (CNAS) has announced the launch of a new automated contribution deduction service for employers across Algeria. This initiative is part of CNAS’s ongoing efforts to digitize its services, modernize payment methods, and ultimately improve service quality while streamlining administrative procedures.
According to a statement released by CNAS, this modern system allows employers to pay their social security contributions on time, avoiding penalties and surcharges associated with late payments. Furthermore, it ensures that declared amounts match the actual payments made, promoting greater accuracy and transparency.
The automated deduction service is designed to expedite and track payment processes securely and efficiently. By eliminating the need for employers to physically visit CNAS offices, this service aligns with the administration’s goal of simplifying procedures and bringing services closer to economic operators.
To utilize this new service, employers must provide formal authorization to their accredited bank, allowing for the automatic deduction of due contributions from their bank accounts on the designated dates. The authorization form can be easily downloaded via the CNAS remote declaration portal.
CNAS emphasized that this initiative underscores its commitment to accelerating digital transformation and fostering transparency and efficiency in managing contributions. This move aims to benefit employers while ensuring the sustainability of the social security system’s funding. The fund believes this will create a more efficient and reliable system for all stakeholders.
