Algeria to Host 60 Economic Events in 2026

Algiers, Algeria – Algeria is set to become a hub for economic activity in 2026, with plans to host approximately 60 national and international trade fairs and economic forums. The Algerian Fairs and Exports Company (SAFEX), through its Algeria Fairs institution, announced an ambitious program designed to invigorate the national economy.

The events will take place at the Palais des Expositions (Exhibition Palace) in Algiers, utilizing its various pavilions including Palestine, Casbah, Unity, Saoura, the Central Pavilion, Gourara, and Ahaggar. These venues offer modern technical and logistical infrastructure, meeting international standards for hosting major exhibitions.

The diverse program encompasses strategic sectors crucial to Algeria’s economic development. These include industry, construction and public works, energy, agriculture, food processing, health and pharmaceuticals, transportation, tourism, and the environment, along with the services sector.

Among the key events scheduled are the 57th Algiers International Fair (June 22-27), the International Building, Construction Materials, and Public Works Exhibition “Batimatec” (May 3-7), the International Food Industry Exhibition “Djazaagro” (April 12-15), and the International Agriculture Exhibition “Sipsa-Filaha” (May 18-21).

Furthermore, the program features the 29th Algiers International Book Fair “SILA” (October 28 – November 7), the International Tourism and Travel Show “SITEV” (June 11-14), and the Algerian Production Fair and the Banks, Insurance, and Financial Products Fair (December 17-26).

Visitors and exhibitors can also look forward to popular events such as “Ramadan at the Palace” (February 12 – March 14) and the Back-to-School Fair (September 17-27).

This extensive program underscores Algeria Fairs’ commitment to fostering economic growth and providing a platform for both local and international businesses to connect and thrive. The events are expected to attract significant participation and contribute to the dynamism of the Algerian economy.
