West Bank Raids: Injuries, Arrests, and Demolition Notices

Israeli forces conducted a series of raids across the West Bank on Wednesday, resulting in injuries, arrests, and demolition notices targeting homes, agricultural structures, and educational facilities. The operations extended from the northern regions of Nablus to the occupied city of Jerusalem.

In Nablus, a 17-year-old Palestinian youth was wounded by Israeli army gunfire during a raid in the town of Beta, south of the city. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, the teenager sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces simultaneously stormed the adjacent towns of Beta and Oudla, deploying tear gas and sound bombs towards residential areas.

Further south, in Bethlehem, Israeli authorities issued a demolition order for a two-story house in the town of Al-Khader, citing construction without a permit. Similar justifications are often used to displace Palestinian families and expand settlements.

In Qalqilya, located in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces arrested a young man, Thaer Abu Khader, following a raid on the city. Witnesses stated that forces entered the northern part of the city, raided agricultural land, and apprehended Abu Khader at his workplace.

South of Hebron, in the Wadi al-Nar area of al-Dhahiriya, Israeli forces reportedly detained several Palestinian citizens, including farmers and landowners, while they were working on rehabilitating water springs. According to local reports, the individuals were subjected to harsh treatment, including being bound and left on the ground for several hours, before the forces confiscated a truck and an excavator from the area.

In occupied Jerusalem, the Israeli municipality issued a demolition notice targeting a section of a building belonging to the Al-Aqsa School and Kindergarten, specifically the “Red Minaret” branch in the al-Sa’adiya neighborhood of the Old City. The Jerusalem Governorate stated that the municipality has given the school administration one week to demolish the upper part of the building, which covers an area of 35 square meters, under threat of further action.
