Algiers – Madar Holding has announced the appointment of Adel Khemane as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. The decision, revealed by the Board of Directors on Thursday, sees Khemane retain his position as Chairman of the Board, signaling a move to strengthen governance and strategic performance within the group.
Khemane’s appointment is a culmination of a distinguished career marked by significant achievements. He is recognized as a highly skilled national executive with extensive experience in leadership and strategic management, particularly within key sectors of the Algerian economy.
Prior to this appointment, Khemane held senior positions in strategic industries, overseeing major policies and projects in the industrial and telecommunications sectors. He also held leadership roles at the National Iron and Steel Company (SNS), where he contributed to the implementation of organizational and structural reforms that positively impacted the company’s performance. Furthermore, he served as Chairman of the Board of the Algerian-Qatari Steel Company (AQS), providing him with in-depth experience in managing large industrial complexes and enhancing his leadership and strategic decision-making capabilities.
The Board of Directors emphasized that this appointment reflects their confidence in Adel Khemane’s ability to lead Madar Holding through a phase requiring increased efficiency, innovation, and sustainable economic performance. ‘We are confident that Mr. Khemane’s leadership will be instrumental in driving Madar Holding forward,’ a board member stated.
