Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has lauded Algeria’s significant progress in the digitization of information and data across all sectors. The President emphasized the importance of this achievement during a recent cabinet meeting, highlighting its potential to identify and address shortcomings within the country.
President Tebboune stressed that the ongoing digitization efforts will enable the government to implement effective solutions promptly. He specifically instructed all members of the government to establish technical teams within their respective departments. These teams will be responsible for the daily updating of data within the national digital database, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
The President underscored the necessity for these updates to be conducted without delay, allowing relevant departments to accurately interpret and utilize the information. This initiative aims to improve decision-making processes and enhance the efficiency of government services.

The meeting addressed a progress report on the extent of digitization, a roadmap for the agricultural sector in 2026, and the monitoring of plowing and sowing for the 2025-2026 season.
Following the presentation of the agenda and the government’s activities over the past two weeks by the Prime Minister, President Tebboune issued a series of instructions, orders, and directives aimed at further accelerating the digitization process and improving governance across various sectors.
