President Tebboune Receives Special Envoy from Somalia

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Farah Sheikh Abdulqadir Mohamed, Special Envoy of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, on Thursday. The envoy, who is also the Minister of Education and Higher Education, carried a message from the Somali President and was accompanied by a delegation.

The meeting was held at the Presidential Palace and focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Algeria and Somalia. Discussions centered on areas of mutual interest and potential collaborations across various sectors. The Special Envoy conveyed the Somali President’s greetings and reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to deepening ties with Algeria.

President Tebboune, in turn, expressed Algeria’s willingness to support Somalia’s development efforts and reiterated the importance of fostering cooperation in addressing regional challenges. He emphasized the historical bonds between the two nations and the shared desire to build a stronger partnership.

The meeting was attended by Boualem Boualem, Director of the President’s Office, Amar Abba, Advisor to the President in charge of Diplomatic Affairs, and Mohamed Saghir Seddaoui, Minister of National Education. Their presence underscores the significance Algeria places on its relationship with Somalia and its commitment to engaging in constructive dialogue with the Somali government.

This high-level engagement reflects Algeria’s ongoing efforts to promote stability and cooperation within the African continent.
