She called for the adoption of a new approach based on an objective assessment of the publishing landscape and anticipating future development, in order to respond to the transformations in the book industry across its various paper and digital formats.
The Minister stressed the importance of preparing a new national strategy for the book industry, considering current challenges and valuing cultural efforts. She affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting publishing programs, enhancing the presence of books in libraries, reading clubs, and cultural spaces, as well as supporting cultural initiatives that contribute to bringing books closer to readers.
