More than 300,000 subscribers have successfully paid the initial installment for the AADL 3 (Agence Amélioration et Développement du Logement) subsidized housing program, according to the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi. The Minister made the announcement during a parliamentary session dedicated to addressing oral questions.
Minister Belaribi emphasized that the National Housing Improvement and Development Agency (AADL) is diligently implementing the third iteration of the AADL program, despite criticism leveled during the subscription phase. He specifically referenced critiques originating from social media platforms outside of Algeria.
“All concerns raised are being addressed and monitored regularly,” Belaribi stated, assuring that every eligible applicant will automatically receive housing, adhering to established standards and transparency guidelines. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that all those who meet the criteria will be housed.
The AADL has reportedly leveraged experience gained from managing the AADL 1 and AADL 2 programs to optimize the management of AADL 3. A key improvement is the complete reliance on digitization. The Minister highlighted that the adoption of electronic payments has eliminated the long queues and congestion that characterized previous phases. This shift has significantly streamlined procedures and accelerated the process for applicants.
Belaribi concluded by affirming the housing sector’s commitment to monitoring the program’s execution according to the set deadlines, ensuring that beneficiaries receive their housing under optimal conditions. “The government is committed to the AADL 3 program and will do everything possible to facilitate access to housing for Algerian citizens,” he added.
