President Abdelmadjid Tebboune Concludes Visit to Tindouf

In a significant move, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has wrapped up his working and inspection visit to the Tindouf province. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s visit to Tindouf.

This trip marked a historic moment, as President Tebboune commenced his visit at the Gara Djebilet mine, the first Algerian president to do so since the country’s independence. He oversaw the foundation stone laying for the primary iron ore processing plant at the mine.

The president’s second stop involved laying the foundation stone for the construction of the 950-kilometer Bechar-Tindouf-Gara Djebilet railway line. This project is a substantial step in enhancing the region’s infrastructure and connectivity.

Additionally, President Tebboune received a warm and grand public welcome in Tindouf. The residents and dignitaries of the province greeted him enthusiastically on the Liberation Army Street, reflecting their support and appreciation.

At the conclusion of his visit, President Tebboune held a meeting with local leaders and civil society representatives. He made several commitments to improve the living standards in Tindouf. These include equipping the Tindouf Hospital with cancer and gynecology specialties and upgrading the local university center to a full-fledged university.

After these engagements, President Tebboune departed from Tindouf, heading back to the capital city, Algiers.
