On Tuesday, Minister of Youth and Head of the National Youth Council, Mustafa Hidaoui, inaugurated the Summer University of the National Movement of Algerian Students in Annaba, held under the theme “Students of Algeria… Loyalty, Revival, and Prosperity.” In his speech, the minister emphasized that the summer university serves as an educational and training platform aimed at enhancing students’ capabilities and preparing them for active participation in public life. He highlighted that the state relies on such initiatives to build an aware, qualified, and active youth elite across various sectors. Hidaoui further noted that the youth space is a strategic step in training a generation of students capable of contributing to the development of a new Algeria, guided by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who prioritizes harnessing youth potential and expanding their participation in political, economic, and cultural spheres. The summer university, which sees widespread participation from students across the country, will focus on topics including community leadership, innovation culture, media empowerment, and digital integration—tools that enable students to strengthen their skills and position themselves as key players in national development efforts. In turn, the Secretary-General of the National Movement of Algerian Students, Massoud Ben Aknoun, praised the state’s ongoing support for student initiatives, noting that the summer university serves as a laboratory for empowering student elites with analytical tools and practical knowledge to contribute to the ambitions of the new Algeria.
