President Tebboune Prioritizes Agricultural Mechanization

Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today chaired a working meeting dedicated to advancing agricultural mechanization across Algeria. The meeting focused on strategies to modernize farming practices and boost national agricultural output.

During the session, President Tebboune approved the establishment of specialized cooperatives. These cooperatives will be responsible for renting agricultural equipment of all types to farmers. Furthermore, President Tebboune announced the creation of a National Council for Agricultural Mechanization. This council will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of mechanization strategies, providing guidance, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources within the agricultural sector.

The meeting was attended by key government officials, including the Director of the Presidential Cabinet, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Fisheries, the Minister of Industry, and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion. Representatives from various Algerian companies and institutions involved in the manufacturing and production of agricultural equipment also participated in the discussions.
