Prime Minister Sifi Gherib chaired a government meeting today to address several critical issues facing the nation, including sustainable development, the audio-visual sector, child protection, and climate change mitigation.
During the session, the government continued its review of the draft executive decree concerning the conditions and procedures for producing and filming audio-visual works. This legislation is expected to streamline the industry and promote local content creation.
The government also received a presentation on proposed mechanisms and programs for the responsible and sustainable care of assisted children who have reached the age of 18. The goal is to ensure continued support and monitoring for these young adults as they transition into independence. Furthermore, the meeting included a discussion of the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
