DZWatch Exclusive: Algeria’s meteorological services have issued a severe weather warning for several provinces across the nation, effective from 9:00 AM until midnight today. The warning encompasses heavy thunderstorms and the potential for significant rainfall.
A special bulletin released by the National Meteorological Office identifies the following provinces as being at risk for thunderstorms: Djelfa, Laghouat, M’Sila, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, Mila, Constantine, Souk Ahras, El Tarf, Annaba, Skikda, Jijel, Bejaia, and Guelma. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay informed of weather updates.
In a separate alert, the meteorological office also cautioned about strong winds expected to impact a different set of provinces. This wind warning is also in effect from 9:00 AM until this evening. The provinces affected by the high wind advisory include: Jijel, Bejaia, Tizi Ouzou, Boumerdes, Tipaza, Algiers, Chlef, Mostaganem, Ain Temouchent, Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbes, El Bayadh, Laghouat, Djelfa, M’Sila, and Ouled Djellal.
