Algeria Post Clarifies Conditions for “Baridi Mob” Transfers

Algiers, January 22, 2026 – Algeria Post (Algérie Poste) has issued a clarification today regarding the conditions for utilizing the money transfer service available through its “Baridi Mob” mobile application. The statement addresses some confusion surrounding the service and aims to ensure users are fully informed of the requirements.

According to Algeria Post, to successfully transfer funds from one postal account to another via “Baridi Mob”, the sender must be a registered user of the application. Furthermore, the sender’s account must possess sufficient funds to cover the intended transfer amount. This is a standard requirement for any electronic funds transfer.

The postal service further elaborated on specific limitations. A minimum transfer amount of 500 Algerian Dinars (DZD) is required for all transactions conducted through the “Baridi Mob” application. In addition, the recipient of the funds must possess a “Golden Card” (Carte Edahabia), Algeria Post’s widely used debit card.
