Heavy Rain and Snowfall Forecast for Several Algerian Provinces

DZWatch Exclusive: Several regions of Algeria are bracing for a spell of inclement weather, with forecasts predicting heavy rainfall and snowfall across multiple provinces on Saturday. According to meteorological reports, the northern regions are expected to experience significant thunderstorms and rainfall. Snowfall is anticipated in areas with elevations exceeding 900 meters.

Provinces expected to receive rainfall include: Ghelizane, Mostaganem, Oran, Mascara, and Tlemcen. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay informed about potential flooding.

The following provinces are under a snowfall advisory: Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbes, Naama, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Saida, El Bayadh, Laghouat, Djelfa, Medea, Bouira, Blida, Bejaia, Tizi Ouzou, Setif, Batna, Oum El Bouaghi, Khenchela, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Tebessa, and Ain Defla. Travel in these areas may be affected, and residents are urged to exercise caution.

Coastal regions can expect temperatures ranging from 13 to 17 degrees Celsius, while inland areas will see temperatures between 6 and 16 degrees Celsius. Wind speeds could reach up to 60 km/h in some areas.

Southern regions are forecast to experience a mix of sunny and rainy conditions, with temperatures ranging from 11 to 27 degrees Celsius. Wind speeds in the south may also reach up to 60 km/h.
