President Tebboune Chairs Cabinet Meeting on Key Economic Projects

Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune presided over a meeting of the Council of Ministers today, focusing on crucial economic development projects and preparations for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

The meeting featured presentations on the launch of the zinc and lead mine in Oued Amizour. This project is expected to significantly contribute to the national economy and create numerous employment opportunities in the region.

Furthermore, the Council reviewed the progress of the mining railway project connecting Bled El Hadba, Oued El Kebrit, and the port of Annaba. This strategic railway line is designed to facilitate the efficient transportation of phosphates and fertilizers, boosting Algeria’s export capabilities and agricultural sector.

Supply measures for the month of Ramadan were also a key topic of discussion. The government is committed to ensuring a stable and affordable supply of essential goods throughout the holy month. Various measures and arrangements are being implemented to prevent shortages and price hikes, safeguarding the purchasing power of Algerian citizens.

President Tebboune emphasized the importance of these projects for the country’s economic diversification and sustainable development.
