Algiers – National airline services have announced an expanded flight schedule, commencing next Wednesday, to enhance air travel options, particularly connecting the southern regions of Algeria. This initiative underscores a commitment to improving domestic air transport and facilitating citizen mobility across the country.
The new program, as detailed in a company statement, will introduce weekly Wednesday flights along the Algiers-Tiaret-Adrar-Tamanrasset route. This strategic connection aims to streamline travel between northern and southern Algeria, offering a more convenient option for passengers.
Furthermore, on Thursdays, the schedule will feature a series of internal flights linking Tamanrasset with Djanet and Illizi, both roundtrip, in addition to a Tamanrasset-Adrar service. These additions significantly broaden travel opportunities within the southern regions.
The flight schedule will be completed on Fridays, with Adrar-Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Bordj Badji Mokhtar-Adrar routes, alongside Adrar-Tiaret and Tiaret-Algiers flights. This aims to improve air connectivity and increase flight frequency across various areas of the country.
These measures demonstrate the airline’s dedication to reducing travel distances, stimulating economic and social activity, and responding to growing demand for domestic air travel, especially to and from the southern provinces.
