Leaked Threats Against Venezuelan Leader Spark Outrage

A leaked audio recording purportedly featuring Venezuela’s interim leader, Delsy Rodriguez, has ignited a firestorm of controversy across social media platforms. The recording details alleged direct threats from the United States administration following the abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

In the audio, Rodriguez claims that Washington issued a 15-minute ultimatum to her and other senior Venezuelan officials, demanding compliance under the threat of lethal force. “The threats began the moment the President was kidnapped… they gave us 15 minutes to respond or they would kill us,” Rodriguez is heard saying. She further states that intelligence suggesting the assassination of key officials prompted them to brace for a similar fate, while maintaining what she describes as “patience and strategic wisdom.”

The leaked statements have triggered widespread debate online. Opinions are sharply divided, with some viewing Rodriguez’s actions as an act of political courage and an attempt to safeguard the nation. Others interpret it as evidence of capitulation or even political betrayal.
