Bab Ezzouar University Launches First National One-Stop Shop

Bab Ezzouar, Algeria – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, inaugurated the first national one-stop shop at the Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology (USTHB) in Bab Ezzouar, Algiers, earlier today.

The launch of this centralized service point represents a significant step towards streamlining administrative processes for students and researchers across the country. This initiative aligns with a joint ministerial decree mandating the establishment of one-stop shops at three universities as part of a pilot program.

The one-stop shop aims to centralize various administrative tasks, providing a single point of contact for students and researchers seeking assistance with enrollment, documentation, research grants, and other related services. University officials believe the new system will significantly reduce bureaucratic hurdles and improve the overall efficiency of administrative operations.

During his visit, Minister Baddari also inaugurated a new economic subsidiary linked to the Center for Physical and Chemical Analysis. This new entity is expected to bolster the center’s research capabilities and foster greater collaboration between the university and the private sector.

The establishment of the one-stop shop and the inauguration of the economic subsidiary underscore the Ministry’s commitment to modernizing higher education in Algeria and promoting scientific research.
