Algiers – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad has announced the implementation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s decision to regularize the status of Algerian citizens residing abroad who find themselves in vulnerable or irregular situations.
According to an official statement released by the Ministry, this initiative targets Algerian nationals facing legal or administrative issues stemming from minor offenses that do not pose a threat to public order. The measure aims to facilitate the regularization of their legal status and enable their reintegration into Algerian society in an organized and legal manner, ensuring their dignity and social stability.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges eligible citizens to contact Algerian diplomatic and consular missions in their respective countries of residence. They are encouraged to submit the necessary documentation for regularization and benefit from this initiative, provided they commit to refraining from repeating the actions that led to their initial legal troubles.
The Ministry reiterated the Algerian state’s commitment to supporting and protecting its citizens residing abroad and addressing their concerns within the framework of the laws and instructions issued by the highest authorities in the country. This decision aligns with the state’s policy of strengthening ties with the national community abroad and reinforcing the principle of humanitarian and social care for all citizens, regardless of their location.
This move is expected to positively impact numerous Algerians living abroad, offering them a pathway to resolve their legal issues and return to Algeria with a renewed sense of security and opportunity.
