This forum, scheduled to take place this month, carries a distinctly Arab flavor with the participation of influential literary figures from various Arab countries. The primary focus of the event is on the theme of resistance, particularly in light of current events in Palestine.

The forum is divided into two main axes: the first addressing resistance in Arab literature, and the second titled “Arab Elites and Resistance.”

Regarding the first axis, sessions will be led by Mohammad Obeidallah from Jordan, Yameen Ben Toumi from Algeria, Murtada Al Tamimi from Iraq, and Saeed Ben Zerqa from Algeria. The session will be chaired by Algerian writer Abdullah Hamadi.

As for the second axis, participants include Boudaoud Omir from Algeria, Amina Abdullah from Egypt, Mahmoud Abu Bakr from Eritrea, and Lhacen Azzouz from Algeria. The session will be presided over by Boualem Delbani.

On the 17th and 18th, the forum will witness two poetry evenings featuring distinguished Algerian and Arab poets as guests.

As part of the forum, the Algerian Federation of Culture and Arts has introduced the “Hiba Abu Nada” Literary Award, dedicated to poets and short story writers. This award commemorates the 35th anniversary of the declaration of the State of Palestine on November 15, 1988. It emphasizes the importance of literary resistance against the war crimes committed by the aggressor entity against the Palestinian people and pays tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
