“Soustara” Qualifies for CAF Quarter-Finals, Belouizdad Edges Closer to Qualification — Sabq Press

USM Alger officially secured qualification for the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, following a goalless draw against their hosts, Djoliba AC of Mali, in the fourth round of Group A.

Following this draw, the “Soustara” side increased their tally to 10 points, maintaining their lead at the top of Group A. They sit four points ahead of their closest pursuer, Morocco’s Olympic Safi, and seven points ahead of Ivorian side San Pédro.

Meanwhile, CR Belouizdad bolstered their chances of advancing to the second round after securing a vital away victory in South Africa. They defeated local club Stellenbosch 3-0 in a match held on Sunday evening.

Belouizdad currently leads Group C with nine points, holding a three-point advantage over AS Otohô.
