State of Emergency Declared in Venezuela

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has declared a state of emergency in the country following recent attacks targeting various locations in the capital, Caracas, according to a statement by the Venezuelan Foreign Minister.

Maduro emphasized that Venezuela reserves the right to exercise legitimate defense of its people, territory, and sovereignty. The Venezuelan Foreign Minister also revealed that the attacks targeted civilian and military sites, as well as downtown Caracas.

In this context, the spokesperson stated that the Venezuelan President issued a decree to activate national defense plans for all Venezuelan territories.
